Cyber Security Awareness (English)

The Cyber Security Awareness training provides a good general picture of what cybercrime entails, how you can get involved and most importantly: how to make a difference in the fight against cybercrime.

The cyber security risks that individuals and organizations face are generally greater than expected. The media reports on large hacks almost weekly, and the damage caused by these cyber attacks amounts to more than 500 billion euros annually worldwide. In addition to technical measures, such as virus scanners and firewalls, cyber security depends mainly on the employees themselves. This course helps to strengthen the so-called ‘human firewall’.

Target audience

A Cyber Security Awareness course is a must for all employees. Whether you are dealing with confidential information or not, we all face the risk of being victimized by phishing mails or WhatsApp fraud.

Education level

The Cyber Security Awareness e-learning is a course at HBO (higher vocational education) level. Specific knowledge is not required, but we do assume that you possess basic knowledge of financial services.

Objective

The key question of this e-learning is: how do I prevent becoming a victim of cybercrime? Once you have completed this e-learning, you will be better armed against cybercrime. You will be able to describe different types of cybercrime and will know how to recognize cybercrime via e-mail, WhatsApp or text.

The Cyber Security training starts with a baseline measurement to determine whether you can take the test immediately or whether it is best to study the theory first.

Study duration

The training takes between one and two hours to complete, depending on your prior knowledge about the subject.
